After our first two feminist films at @1040 we have two more to follow in our 1115 instalment of the Small Axe Radical Short Film Awards. First we have A Life Inside (dir. Nicole Rixon) about the isolation and strain of pregnancy bought about by the covid-19 pandemic. Next we have She’s The Protagonist (dir. Sarah Carlot Jaber), a compelling social comedy about the lack of female representation in mainstream film. We join our protagonists as they set loose from the film set and craft their own narrative. Hilarity ensues…
